Avery is 2 weeks old today. Let me just say- THIS IS THE GOOD LIFE! Sure-I don't really sleep anymore and everything has changed but it is so GOOD! We are having so much fun with her and she can't even do anything yet. This is what I have waited for my whole life! Enjoy these pictures of Avery. I took these this week one morning when she was very alert and content. Isn't she beautiful?! :)

Katie, how exciting to see your little girl at last. We heard so much about "the baby" from Sue over the summer months that we were also very excited. And from what Sue now tells me, plus what I read in your blog from you, it appears Avery is well worth the wait. I have rarely known a great-grandmother as thrilled as Sue is, and I'm sure the grandparents are equally happy about her arrival. She is absolutely gorgeous, just as Sue told me. I hope to see her at Sandy Pines next summer. In the meantime, I hope the joys of motherhood continue to live in your heart. Give her a kiss on her chubby cheeks for me, okay?
