A fun night
Last night I got a fun night out. I stood in line for 3 hours to meet and have my book signed by Kate Gosselin, author and star of TLC's hit show Jon & Kate Plus Ei8ht. It was awesome. She walked right by us a couple of times. It was very fun. Grandma- I know you are jealous. :)
You should have seen the line. I got in line at 5:30 and we had our turn at 8:30. The signing was at Barnes & Noble in Rivertown Mall and the line was through their entire store wound through every row and the into the mall down to and through Sears and outside. CRAZY but totally worth it. Thanks Kate!

For Today...
Just for this morning, I am going to step over the laundry, and pick you up and take you to the park to play.
Just for this morning, I will leave the dishes in the sink, and let you teach me how to put that puzzle of yours together.
Just for the afternoon, I will unplug the telephone and keep the computer off and sit with you in the backyard and blow bubbles.
Just for the afternoon, I will not yell once, not even a tiny grumble when you scream and whine for the ice cream truck and I will buy you one if he comes by.
Just for the afternoon, I won't worry about what you are going to be when you grow up, or second guess every decision I have made where you are concerned.
Just for the afternoon, I will let you help me bake cookies, and I won't stand over you trying to fix them.
Just for the afternoon, I will take us both to McDonalds and buy us both a Happy Meal so you can have both toys.
Just for this evening, I will hold you in my arms and tell you a story about how you were born and how much I love you.
Just for this evening, I will let you splash in the tub and not get angry.
Just for this evening, I will let you stay up late while we sit on the porch and count all the stars.
Just for this evening, I will snuggle beside you for hours, and miss my favorite tv show.
Just for this evening when I run my fingers through your hair as your pray, I will simply be grateful that God has given me the greatest gift ever given.
I will think about the mothers and fathers who are searching for their missing children, the mothers and fathers who are visiting their children's graves instead of their bedrooms, and mothers and fathers who are in hospital rooms watching their children suffer senselessly and screaming inside that they can't handle it anymore.
And when I kiss you goodnight I will hold you a little tighter, a little longer. It is then, that I will thank God for you and ask Him for nothing, except one more day...
I received this message today in an email from a friend and it touched me. I have heard so many sad stories lately about children that my heart hurts for them. Our time on earth is precious- make the most of each day. I hope this touched you today, like it did me. Love you all.

Happy 1st Birthday Avery Lynne
Dear Avery,
Exactly one year ago today I was posting welcome pictures on our blog and today I am posting about your first birthday. It is amazing how fast this year has gone. It has been a year of tremendous blessings. Your life has blessed us in so many ways.
On the day your were born, we counted your ten little fingers and ten litte toes and cried in wonder of you as we kissed your cheeks. We came home to new excitement, sleepless nights and many new experiences. This year we experienced your first smile, your first time rolling, sitting, crawling, laughing, walking and talking. Today, you walk through the house babbling contantly at us and again we sit in wonder.
Every day, your daddy and I thank God for you and the way that you have brought us unending joy. It is to Him that we give all glory, honor and praise. It is our prayer for you that you will grow into a beautiful, strong, smart, funny, amazing child of God. (But don't do it too fast!)
We love you Avery Lynne, Happy Birthday, Love, Mommy and Daddy
Party Pictures
WOW! I can't believe a year has already gone by. Exactly one year ago today, I was posting Avery's welcome pictures on the blog and here I am today posting about her first birthday.
We celebrated with most of our family on Sunday with a party and will celebrate with the rest this weekend. Avery had a lot of fun at her party. She enjoyed the boxes that her toys came in maybe more than the toy at first. She hugged them and wanted to sit on all of them. Thank you everyone for making her day so special
Happy Birthday Miss Avery- we love you! (Again, I have a TON of pictures, these are just a few of the highlights)
Pumpkin Patch
"Look Mom, this one is my size!"
My mom, Jen, me and Avery made our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. We went to Post Family Farms this year. This was Avery's first time and she had a lot of fun. Last year we went to Robinettes a week before I was due and it was hot out-not my favorite year! :(
Anyway, we took a hayride out to the pumpkin patch and Avery was very determined to walk around herself despite tripping over vines and such. I think you can tell from the pics that she loved the pumkins. ( I have a TON of pictures so these are just a few of my favorites)
